Healthylife contains the active ingredient Finasteride. If you are taking a medication to treat an enlarged prostate, your doctor or pharmacist should discuss the risks and benefits of taking Finasteride. Finasteride works by blocking the conversion of the hormone DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) to DHT in the body, which causes an enlarged prostate to shrink. This is a natural part of a men's health condition and may also help to alleviate symptoms of BPH such as frequent urination, weak or no urination, and the need for urgent medical care. Finasteride can also be used to treat male pattern hair loss, or male pattern baldness. Hair loss is the loss of hair on the scalp or any other part of the body. Finasteride works by blocking an enzyme in the body called 5-alpha-reductase, which converts DHT to DHT. By blocking DHT, Finasteride helps to stop hair loss and slows down the progression of hair loss. This is a prescription product only medicine. You should not take this product if you are taking any other medicines, including any that contain Street Drug or any other medicines you are taking. Hi there! I have been struggling with hair loss for a while. I’ve been using Propecia for about 6 months now, and it’s been working well. But, when I first started taking the medication, it was quite slow at first. I’ve heard some horror stories about taking finasteride. I thought I was getting it in the wrong hands, but this is the first time I’ve experienced that issue. Has anyone experienced similar? Any help would be much appreciated!
I’ve been taking Propecia for a few months now and I’ve noticed some significant side effects. The first one I had was a change in hair texture. I thought it might be due to the finasteride, but after a few weeks of taking it, it started to improve. It’s been working well, but now I’m experiencing some discomfort in my scalp. Any advice would be great. Thank you so much.
I’m not sure why it was starting to take effect. I’m pretty sure it was because I was using Propecia for a while. The hair started to thin and started to fall out, but eventually it stopped completely. I had no idea it was the finasteride, but I can’t believe it. I’m trying to find out for myself, if it’s something that I’m still experiencing. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for the heads up. I really appreciate it. I’ve been on Propecia for about 6 months now and I’ve noticed a significant change in hair texture. I just tried it and it worked, but it had no effect. It was really starting to take effect. I’m going to take it tomorrow and see if I can find out if it works. Thanks in advance!
Diana
Hi Diana,
Thanks for your detailed and interesting post. I’m also a hair loss specialist and have been taking Finasteride for about 6 months now. It has been working well for me and I’m on Propecia for about 3 months now. It’s been working pretty well. I’m glad to hear that it’s working. It’s a good thing that my hair is back to its normal state now, but I’m hoping that it will eventually be a bit more consistent, but not for me as a person. I’m also planning to take Propecia to see if it works for me. If so, I’ll definitely try it.
Hi, Diana
Thanks for the detailed and interesting post. I’m also a hair loss specialist and have been on Propecia for about 6 months. It’s been working well for me and I’m on Propecia for about 3 months now. I’m also on Propecia for about 3 months now. I was initially prescribed Proscar but I’ve had a very bad reaction to it a few times over the years. Now that I’ve taken the medication and have noticed a slight change in my hair texture, I’m not sure why. It’s been working well, but now I’m wondering if I should continue to try Finasteride or other hair loss treatments to see if I’ve been keeping my hair thinning enough and have been keeping my hair back. My hair is very thin and has become a bit more consistent. I’m also trying to find out if there’s any other treatment that will work for me as well. Thanks so much in advance.
I agree that Finasteride is a very good option. I’m not sure if Proscar is a good choice for everyone. Finasteride is a prescription medication and is very expensive. It’s been a great experience to get the information you provide about it on the web. I’m also trying to get a hair transplant, so I can try a hair transplant and see if it’s working for me.
Thanks again for all your help and advice.
Finasteride is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), such as frequent and difficult urination. Besides this, it is also used to treat male pattern hair loss.
Finasteride contains Finasteride, which works by blocking the action of male hormones that cause prostate enlargement and hair loss. Thereby, it helps treat BPH and male pattern hair loss.
In some cases, Finasteride may cause low sexual desire, impotence (erectile dysfunction), abnormal ejaculation, or trouble having an orgasm. Most of these side effects of Finasteride may not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not take Finasteride if you are allergic to any of its components. Finasteride is not intended for use in women and children. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.
